Joan Vaughn, daughter of the late Ernest Brown and Goldie Queen was born on June 9, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life June 17, 2021.
Joan reicived her education in the Baltimore City Public School System.Joan was well-liked employees at the Sherton Inner Harbor Hotel where she worked for 14 years until she retired in 1995. In earlier years, Joan was a faithful member od St. Peter Claver Caltholic Church in Baltimore, MD.
Joan married the late Roland Xavier Wallace Sr in 1955. After his passing, Joan was given the gift of love again when she met and married WENDELL Philmore Vaughn IN 1986. this loving union lasted 24 years until his passing in 2000.
Joan had speical gifts of always greeting you with an opne heart and offered just the right advice when needed. Joan opened her door and kitchen to anyone she felt was in need. Joan was a very giving person; she enjoyed, clolring, knitting, and computer card games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her loved ones. Moreover, she was a surrogate mother for many of her grandchildren. Joan stayed grounded spiritually and would faithfully participate in televised Lakewood Church services with Joal Olsten every Sunday. Her family knew she was not to be interrupted during that time.
Joan leaves to cherish her memories: Children, Paula Douglas, Annette Wallace, Kim Johnson, Sharon Palmer.Grandchildren that she was instrumental in rearing: Andre, Latoya, Quiana, Thomas, Shakirra in addition to nine others she loved affectionately and a host of great-grandchildren,nieces,nephews,other relatives and external family.
Joan is reunited in heaven with the following loved ones; children Wendy Vaughn, Wayne Wallace. Mother Queen Goldie.
