Joan Dunlop, 81, of Salinas passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, December 21, 2015. She was born on September 3, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Dunlop, her parents Arthur and Viola Schimpf, her brother Jerry Schimpf, and her nephew, Brady Honican.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Denise Dunlop; sons, Robert Dunlop and wife, Linda and David Dunlop and wife, Cynthia; three grandchildren, Justin Flickinger, Tristan Dunlop, and Autumn Dunlop; and her sisters, Margaret Huddleston, Judith Schimpf, Kathy Honican, and Joyce Schimpf (sister-in-law). She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and her grandkitty, Blue.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St. Salinas, CA 93901.
