We are saddened to announce the passing of Jimmy Burks, born on February 16, 1950, in Commanche, Texas.Of Amarillo Texas

Jimmy, loving husband to Debra Burks, married in May 1984, was a devoted father to Kimberley,and Her Husband Daniel Ames Tommy, and his wife Terry Monk Theresa and her Husband Brent Cantwell , Johnny, and Brett.and His Wife Monica Brady

He was the son of Raymond and Abby Burks, and a proud grandfather to 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren . Hey had 5 sisters Rita Clark, Kathy Cook ,Mary Tally, Pam Sirmons and Nelda Shaffer Breazeale 2 Brothers Earl Burks and Randy Shaffer many nieces and Nephews.

Jimmy attended Caprock High school and his received his Ged and served in the United States Army In Vietnam and National Guard.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and watching John Wayne movies, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents 2 sisters 2 brothers and 1 son. And brother n Law and Mother in law

He is survived by his wife 4 children 3 sisters 2 brother in laws and all grandkids and nieces and nephews.

Although Jimmy will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Rest in peace, Jimmy. Your memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
