Jimmie Ray WallaceVirginia Beach - Jimmie Ray Wallace, BMCS USN ret., passed away on October 29, 2016. He was the son of the late Ruth Edmonds Davis.Jimmie was born on October 13, 1934 in Harlan, Kentucky. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 28 years and Norshipco after 15 years. He was a proud Veteran having served in both Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed retirement traveling in his RV.He will be dearly missed by his wife, Annette Wallace and children Mark Wallace (Linda), James Wallace (Jayne), Mary Grudzinski (Stan), and Larry Wallace (Sherry). Grandchildren Stephanie King, Michael Wallace, Phillip Woodard, Zane Grudzinski, Heather and Mathew Wallace, Bryan George, Samantha McCrary, and Andrea Green and 12 Great Grandchildren. And his Yorkie, Bosun Mate.He was preceded in death by the Mother of his children, Mary Grace Wallace and Granddaughter, Regina Barry.Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
