Jimmie Earl Pearsall, son of the late Emma Gertrude Pearsall and Earnest Bennett, was born on April 25, 1949 in Mount Olive, North Carolina. His most influential role model was his grandfather, Eddie Pearsall, who instilled in him the wisdom and values he carried out in his own life. He departed this life on July 24, 2026.
He received his education in the Wayne County Public School System. He graduated from Carver High School in Mount Olive, North Carolina in 1968. Jimmie attended Harris Barber College in Raleigh North Carolina where he graduated and received his Masters Barbers License. After completing his education, he migrated to Baltimore Maryland, where he used his skills by cutting hair at Springfield Hospital Center. From there, he worked for the state of Maryland in several mental institutions, where he helped with caring for and securing the residents.
Jimmie married the love of his life, Kay on October 24, 1972. From this union two children Jimmie(Demond) and Brian were born.
Jimmie enjoyed building and home improvements projects, especially with several real estate properties he owned. His most cherished project was rebuilding a home for his son, Brian, and family to reside in. He also enjoyed resting and relaxing at home watching the news or an old western. Jimmie was known to always speak his mind and you could always count on a little sarcasm with it. But his one favorite thing to do was spending time with his grand children, who affectionately called him “Pop Pop”. Jimmie really enjoyed having his family spend time together.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers: Morris Pearsall, Bobby Bennett, and Stanley Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, two sons, Jimmie (Demond), and Brian, daughter in law Kristi, grandchildren, Mikai, Brian, Khloi, Tristian, Kaden, and Kristopher, one brother Kenneth Bennett (Shirley) of Alexandria, VA, two sisters Doris Bennett Yates of Mt. Olive , NC, Coris Bennett (Cedric) of Dale City, VA, one aunt Rachael Coe, of Baltimore, MD, a very close and special cousin Carnell Pearsall, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
