Jewell Taylor was born on January 1, 1950 , in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She was preceided in death and the beloved daughter of John and Mary Taylor and grew up alongside her siblings, David and Sarah. Jewell had a remarkable presence that touched the lives of all who knew her. She passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.Jewell had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and dedicated her life to learning. After graduating from high school, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Education from Georgia State University, followed by a Master's degree in Psychology. She held a multitude of roles throughout her career, including being a devoted teacher, a compassionate counselor, and a respected author. Jewel's passion for education extended beyond her professional life as she devotedly volunteered in her community by tutoring underprivileged children.Her family and friends will fondly remember Jewell as an extraordinary individual with a gentle soul and an infectious smile. She had a kind and compassionate nature that made everyone feel seen and heard. Jewell's greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She was a loving wife to her late husband, George, whom she married in 1975. Together, they shared many years of happiness, raising three Children together.Jewell had a zest for life and was always up for an adventure. She loved exploring nature, finding solace in the serene beauty of the majestic mountains and calming ocean waves. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed expressing herself through painting, singing , and playing the piano.Jewell will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Carolyn Taylor , Zachary (Sadie) Taylor and Shay (Vaughn) Taylor. 5 grandchildren Lashandra (Antonio)Thomas Cheyenne Taylor , Jeremiah Clemons , Tiffany Lynch and Brandon ( Michelle) Taylor many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.Jewell Taylor's life was an inspiration to all who crossed her path. Her unwavering kindness, determination, and genuine care for others will forever be remembered. While she may no longer be with us physically, her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
