Jerry Dell OrrJanuary 21, 1962 - January 15, 2014Jerry Dell Orr, 51, of Nampa, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at a Nampa hospital. Jerry was born on January 21, 1962 in Nyssa, Oregon to Eugene and Frances Orr. He moved to Nampa at the age of 17 to be with his brother Rick and sister Debbie. About a year later he met and married the love of his life, Cindy Bates. In 1981 they had their first child, Jerry Jr. followed by their second child in 1983, Misty (his M&M). After 9 years of marriage they divorced but stayed the best of friends. He worked as an HVAC technician up until his accident which left him paralyzed in 1991. His sister Debbie and brother in law Lew took care of him in their home until his parting. Aside from his family, two of his favorite things were being outside and the Denver Broncos. Go Broncos! If the sun was out you better bet he was too. He put pride in his beautiful flowers and garden. Every year he looked forward to taking his grandkids fishing. He didn't care what he was doing as long as he was with family. Even with his disability year after year he showed what true strength and determination was. He had the most positive outlook on life, no matter how difficult life was. He was a true inspiration to everybody. There are no words to express how amazing he truly was. He will live on forever in the hearts of every person he met. He is survived in life by his parents Eugene and Frances, his sister Debbie, his brother Rick, his children Jerry and Misty, and six grandchildren, Kaele, Tristen, Cameron, Athan, Aiden, and soon to be born Aria.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the LDS Church Building, 607 W. Locust Lane in Nampa.
