Simmons, Jerry D Jerry D. Simmons, 67, Overland Park, KS beloved husband, father and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 4, at 2:48 a.m. surrounded by the love of his immediate family. Jerry was born on March 28, 1949 in Joplin, MO. His passion was to build lives and he accomplished this by serving others instead of being served. His love for the Lord and people was evident in everything he did. A born entrepreneur, he was able to create success in many different fields of business from an early age. Jerry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Toni L. Simmons, married on September 27, 1986 in Vail, Colorado, and his sons, Brenton R. Simmons (wife Taylor A. Simmons), Bryce D. Simmons, Brady M. Simmons, Jason C. Simmons. He was proceeded in death by his son, Jerry D. Simmons, Parents, Ross and Edith Simmons, and brothers, Gary and Larry Simmons. Friends will be received from 10 am until 12 noon, Service at 12 noon, on Friday, November 11, at Church of the Harvest, 14841 S.
