Jerome Dwayne Owens was born July 3, 1945 in Hyattsville, Maryland to the late Diane Owens and Jerome Jefferson. Jerome worked several years at the pentagon and Marriott's Gaylord National Resort and provided support counseling at Ager Road United Methodist Church. He was a strong, loving, and caring person who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, laughing, and throwing down in the kitchen. Jerome loved to have fun and live life to the fullest. His favorite place to be was on the beach listening to the sounds or the waves and feeling the sand between his toes. 

Jerome was preceded in death by his mother (Diane), father (Jerome), stepfather (David) and wife (Barbra). He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters: Regina Owens, and Yvonne Price, brother: Joseph Bruce, nephews: Brandon Bruce, Marcus Owens and Edwin Owens, nieces: Ashley Owens and Janee Owens and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
