Jerome Winns, also known as the unofficial mayor of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on May 8, 1986, Jerome lived a life full of laughter, love, and a questionable fashion sense.
Jerome was known for his infamous collection of Hawaiian shirts, which he insisted on wearing to every occasion - from weddings to funerals. He truly believed that every day was a beach day, despite the fact that Glen Burnie is nowhere near a beach.
His love for food was unmatched. Jerome could always be found at the local diner, ordering his usual stack of pancakes with a side of bacon. He was a firm believer that syrup should be poured on everything, including mashed potatoes and pizza.
Although he never had any children of his own, Jerome was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He would always spoil them with candy and toys, much to the dismay of their parents.
Jerome will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his questionable fashion choices, and his undying love for food. Rest in peace, dear friend. We hope there are endless stacks of pancakes waiting for you in the afterlife.
