Jeremy Bert Sympson, 41, died Saturday (Nov. 12, 2016) in Wichita.Jeremy was born on May 27, 1975, in Newton to Harold L. and Patricia (Holland) Sympson.Jeremy attended Newton schools and was a graduate of Newton High School. Jeremy loved fishing and being with his family. He was a story teller, never met a stranger and became friends with many. He was actively involved in the Special Olympics and ResCare day services and activities.Jeremy is survived by his parents, Harold and Patricia Sympson; brother, Harold L. Sympson, Jr.; niece, Madison; nephew, Ethan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one aunt.Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 17, 2016) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. The family will have a visitation between 5 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 16, 2016) at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will be present between 6 and 8 p.m. to greet friends.A burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Tisdale Cemetery following the funeral service.A memorial has been established for ResCare, 300 S.
