Jeffry Loren SommerApril 21, 1958 - April 13, 2015Jeffry Loren Sommer 56 of Nampa passed away at his home of natural causes April 13, 2015.Jeff was born on April 21, 1958 in Nampa, Idaho to Robert and Lola Sommer. Jeff was raised in Nampa and graduated from Nampa High School in 1976. He moved to Phoenix, AZ but returned to Nampa after a couple of years where he began his career driving a gravel truck for a local sand and gravel company. In the 80's, Jeff went to work for an excavating contractor driving dump trucks and transport trucks moving heavy construction equipment. Jeff spent most of his last ten years working with the family business. Jeff's passion was classic cars, riding and racing his four wheeler, and working on his brother's race cars which started with sand dragsters. In the 90's the racing turned to Alcohol Funny Cars that Jeff loved working on. Jeff also enjoyed taking his Jeeps trail riding in places like Moab, Utah, the Owyhee's and especially at his property in Cascade. Jeff's pride and joy was his 1955 Chevy car that he owned for over 30 years and restored in the late 90's. A Memorial will be held at Nampa Funeral Home Yraguen Chapel on Monday (today) April 20, 2015 at 1.00pm
