Jeffrey Hampson Wince, 68Jeffrey Hampson Wince, better known by many as Vince, age 68, of Bruno, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home.Vince was born on April 5, 1949 in Ironton, Ohio to Howard and Rebecca (Hampson) Wince. He spent much of his youth in LaSalle-Peru, Illinois where he was active in scouting, achieving Order of the Arrow and Eagle. He graduated from LaSalle-Peru Township High School in 1967 and received a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Vince and his wife Mary arrived in the Ozarks in 1976 and made their home just south of Bruno. Vince retired after working as a long-time employee in the wiring shop at Ranger Boats. He was an avid reader, especially fond of presidential history, National Geographic, and current events. He was intrigued by maps and loved to discover "new" back roads in his '69 Chevy pickup. Vince enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, loved the challenge of "Name That Tune" music trivia, and was known to serenade his country neighbors by playing his coronet. He kept his mind sharp by doing daily puzzles—anacrostic, logic, and Sudoku—and loved to help others crack the mystery of the Rubik's cube. His favorite place was the back porch where he enjoyed swapping good stories with friends. Vince was a loving husband, family member, and friend.
