Jeanne E. Goetz, 72, of Morton, IL., passed away on January 27, 2021 at 6:12 pm at Saint Francis hospital. She was born July 23, 1948 to Jesse and Ruth Cox. Both parents preceded her in death. She also had 2 sisters that preceded her in death: Kathy Leas and Janet Ferguson, both of East Peoria, Illinois. Surviving are her sons Bobby Lane and Joel Lane, daughter Stephanie Goetz, all 3 of East Peoria, IL, and son Jonathan Goetz of Germantown Hills, IL. Surviving also are sister Susan Kerschner of Pekin, sister Karen (Larry) Patterson of Pekin, sister Wendy (Michael) Wernsman of Pekin, brother Forrest (Jan), Miles of Pontiac, IL, and brother Michael (Jennifer) Miles of Pekin. Jeanne had 5 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren. She also had 12 surviving nephews and nieces.

Jeanne was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses who loved her God, Jehovah, and enjoyed sharing her faith with others in her ministry. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 91:1, 2. She believed in the resurrection hope, which the Bible speaks about. (Job 14:14,15; John 5:28,29) She knew that she would sleep in death until her God called her back to life in perfect health on a beautiful paradise earth where there will be no more suffering of any kind. She wanted nothing more than for her children, grandchildren, and all her family and friends to be in that future paradise to welcome her back to life. She is still very much loved by everyone that knows her. They will all miss her until they see and embrace her again right here on earth in paradise conditions.

A private online service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:30-2:00 PM Central Time on Zoom. The meeting ID has been sent to friends and family. Elder Bill Pawson of the Sunrise Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in East Peoria will be officiating Jeanne’s memorial service.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois is assisting with the cremation arrangements.
