RAINEY JEAN OSGOOD RAINEY (Age 91) Died November 18, 2016 at Chevy Chase House in Washington, DC after a prolonged illness. Jean was born on April 5, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan, daughter of Earl Victor and Blanche Mae (Eberly) Osgood. Jean was Public Relations director of the National Association of Food Chains in Washington from 1954-1959. Vice President public relations Manchester organizations. Partner, Rainey, McEnroe and Manning a firm she started with John Rainey in 1962. The firm merged with Selvage and Lee in 1973. She became president of the Washington division in 1979. In 1984 she started Jean Rainey Associates. In 1987 she became a Senior Vice-President at Daniel J. Edelman Inc. She semi-retired in 1996. Jean was married to John Rainey for 33 years. Jean is survived by her children, John "Jack" Jr. and wife, Suzanne, Cynthia and her husband, Chris Kacher and Ruth Shrum and her husband, Joe and his daughter, Colleen, and by her grandchildren, Megan Rainey Fulford and her husband, Ben, Shannon Rainey and her fiancé, Joe Cronin, Colin Rainey, Courtney Rainey and Kevin Rainey, John and Ben Kacher; great-grandchildren, Grady and Madeline Fulford. Jean was predeceased by her sister, Ruth and brothers, Don and Frank.
