On November 25, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul, Jean Magazine, of Zebulon, North Carolina. Born on August 25, 1946, Jean was the cherished daughter of Willie Pretty and Annie Pearl Pretty.

In 1969, Jean married the love of her life, Leroy Magazine, and together they raised two wonderful children, Norman Mitchell and Shelia Horne (spouse Johnny Horne).

A devoted caregiver, Jean spent her career tending to those in need before retiring in 2011. She was a graduate of James E Shepard High School, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and compassion.

Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, Jean enjoyed cooking, shopping, dancing, and traveling. Her infectious laughter and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Though Jean has left this world, her legacy lives on through her children and ten adoring grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
