Jean Marie (Heidner) Bonney1932-2016Jean Marie Garmany Heidner Bonney passed away peacefully to our Heavenly Father on September 13, 2016. She was born on March 9, 1932 at St. Joseph Infirmary and was a lifelong resident of Houston. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1950 and attended the University of Houston. She was one of the first employees of Tenneco Oil Company and spent many years volunteering for various organizations, including St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Memorial City Hospital. She was a member of Kappa Sigma Nu Sorority. She was also a Stephen Minister at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. She was an officer of the Exxon Retiree Club following her husband's retirement from Exxon. Jean is remembered for her great love of all animals, but also human beings and many were touched by her deep compassion, generosity, and loving ways. She loved to travel and was an avid bridge player. Jean was known by her loved ones to be a very unique and strong lady.Jean is preceded in death by her parents Ineeda Essie Thigpen and George Melton Garmany, her husband R.F. (Fred) Heidner Jr., and her beloved dog Misty Jane. Jean is survived by her husband Roger Bonney, her daughter Kathy Heidner Taylor, son-in-law Steven Taylor and their children Katy Jane and Cody Wayne Taylor; her daughter Jan Bledsoe DeLaval and her children Jessie Henley, Kim Garza, Candice Sutton, Jerry Hughes, Brandon DeLaval, Danielle DeLaval, and Annie DeLaval; step daughter Charlotte Heidner Morris and her husband Bruce Morris and their children Brett and Jill Morris and her husband Johnny McNulty; step son Rick F. Heidner III and his wife Diane and their children Michael and Danny; step daughter Martha Bonney and her children Roger M.H. Bonney and Sarah Bonney-Watkins; step son Harold Bonney; step grandson John Rooney (son of deceased step daughter Blanche Bonney) and his children Peyton and Holden Rooney. She had eleven great grandchildren, Kylee Jane Abney, Braylen Wayne Taylor, Kase Liam Taylor, Gwendolyn Morris, Payton Garza, Angela Maglitto, Arielle Maglitto, Landon Sutton, Shayla Hughes, Cameron Hughes, and Hunter Hughes.The family would like to thank her special friends (and caregivers) Kareema, Wendy, Amanda and LaToya and her many lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), or Houston Hospice on Holcombe Blvd. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5-8pm at Chapel of Eternal Peace Funeral Home 2454 S. Dairy Ashford. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2pm. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial.
