On June 6th, 2023, the world lost a true character, Jara Mallik. Jara was born on January 1st, 1950, in Alipurduar, West Bengal, India. She lived a full life and entertained us all until the very end.

Jara was known for her love of pranks and practical jokes. She was always up for a good laugh, even if it meant she was the butt of the joke. Her infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her.

She was a great cook, although her specialty was burnt toast. Her friends and family loved to tease her about it, but they always ate it anyway because it was made with love.

Jara was an avid reader and could often be found with her nose buried in a book. She was a natural storyteller, and her tales were always the highlight of any gathering.

She was also a lover of animals, especially her beloved cat, Fluffy. Despite Fluffy’s numerous attempts to scratch her, Jara never gave up on showing her feline friend affection.

Jara leaves behind her husband, three children, and five grandchildren who will miss her dearly. They are comforted in knowing that Jara is probably up in heaven, playing elaborate pranks on the angels.

In lieu of flowers, Jara’s family asks that you tell a joke or play a harmless prank on someone in Jara’s memory. She would have loved that. Rest in peace, Jara. You will be missed but never forgotten.
