We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jannet West, who left us on December 23, 2024, at the age of 71 in Gary, Indiana, United States. Jannet was born on September 7, 1953, to proud parents Micheal and Vale Jannet.

Jannet leaves behind a loving family, including her two children, Laurice West and Shonna Hodge, and five adored grandchildren. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her family.

Jannet attended West Side Leadership Academy high school, graduating in 1971, and went on to pursue higher education at Indiana University Northwest, where she graduated in 1988. She was a dedicated student and took great pride in her academic accomplishments.

Outside of her studies, Jannet had a passion for serving Jehovah and attending Jehovah witness services. She found comfort and peace in her faith and shared her beliefs with those around her.

Jannet's bright spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
