Janie Dunlap, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 13, 2023, in her home in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born on June 19, 1948, and was known for her infectious smile and kind heart.

Janie was a proud graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and loved to cheer on the Tar Heels during basketball season. She was also an avid gardener and could often be found tending to her beautiful flowers and vegetables in the backyard.

Janie was a beloved member of her community and was known for her kindness and generosity. She loved to volunteer at local charities, and her infectious spirit touched everyone she met. She was an incredible cook and loved to entertain friends and family with her delicious meals.

Janie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas Lee Dunlap , her children Shawn and Michael, and her 5 grandchildren . She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and warmth will live on in our memories forever.
