Janice Marie Lott, age 65, passed peacefully on February 20, 2017 at La Villa Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after a brief struggle with lung cancer. Janice was born July 23, 1951 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Jesse Jones Jr. and Ollie Elizabeth Richardson.

Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She attended Calhoun High School and also studied nursing at Victoria College. In her spare time she loved to hit her favorite casinoes and play bingo. She worked for AT&T for years as a phone operator and also Fagan Answering Service.

Janice is survived by her sisters, Gwen Jones of Jackson, MS, Mildred Jones of Victoria, TX; sons Daryl Hobbs of Humble, TX, Mark Hobbs of San Diego, CA; daughters Monica Hobbs of San Antonio, TX, La Starr Tucker of Oakland, CA and a number of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and close friends.

Janice requested a private burial. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. Arrangements were provided by Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home.
