Janice Patrice Graves was born July 23, 1939, to the late Betty Spinks and Causie Graves in Greensboro , NC. She took her eternal rest Thursday , May 26, 2022, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Center in Asheboro, NC.

She lived with her Husband, Gregory Graves in Greensboro and Franklinville where she attended the local schools before moving to Bennett, NC with her mother and stepfather, As a young adult, Janice lived in Chicago, IL for several years before settling in New York with her husband. There she was employed as Supervisor of the Visiting Nurses’ Association until retiring and returning to North Carolina.

Janice rejoined Glovers United Church of Christ in Bennett, NC, and remained a faithful member until declining health limited her activities.

Her parents; one son, Robert Graves , and one brother, Clarence Graves preceded her in death.

She is survived by: her son, Preston Graves of Durham, NC; two granddaughters, one grandson, one niece, two nephews, many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
