Her life was so fulfilling, with so many twists and turns, that trying to summarize everything she experienced and embodied may not do her remarkable life enough justice. But in the words of Janets father, "Nothing beats a failure but a try."

She was a daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a significant other, and a grandmother. She was a shining light of humor, wit, and laughs from the heart and soul. She was the kind of person that could make anyone and every one her best friend in a matter of minutes. She was full of ideas for entrepreneurship and her passions, and never stopped pursuing her dreams.

She was the kind of person who would follow her own convictions and didn't let the opinions of others hold her back. And yet, at the same time, she was the kind of person who would always listen when you truly needed a shoulder to cry on and gave sage advice for almost any problem you were facing.

One of her greatest achievements was finally learning how to truly love and celebrate the people in her life. After decades of mistreatment at the hands of men that were wholly unworthy of her and imperfect relationship with her children, she became one of the best grandmothers anyone could ask for and the perfect match for a man truly special to her.
