Janet Marie Brussel, age 76, of East Tawas died peacefully on May 18, 2013, at Tendercare, 400 North St., Tawas City. She was born on Dec. 7, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoyed playing cards, dice games, reading and travel. She was an active member of Wilber United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Lewis Brussel; granddaughter, Melissa Brussel; six sisters-in-law, Joyce Steinhurst of West Branch, Bess Toska of Tawas City, Audrey Fernette of East Tawas, Cindi Bird of National City, Mary Brussell of East Tawas and Linda Brussell of Greenville; and a loving aunt, Lucille Vishnauski of East Tawas. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Dwyne (Redeye) Brussel; her mother and father; three brothers; and three brothers-in-law. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at Wilber United Methodist Church with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating.
