Janet was born to Roy E. Williamson and Ethel G. Williamson on March 19th 1950, in Besoco West Virgina. She married Doug Shelley on Sept. 25th 1981 and they lived together in, Kentucky. Together they raised 3 children.

She leaves as her legacy 3 children: Roy E. LaGoy (Seattie Williams), Dawn M. Abrams (Ricky V. Abrams Sr.), Jimmie K. Shelley (Ashley O'Meara ).  She also leaves to cherish her memory 5 grand children: Ricky V. Abrams Jr., Uniquca C. Abrams, Pamela S. LaGoy, Charlotee F. Shelley,  and Penny G. Shelley. She also leaves to cherish her memory 5 great grand children : De'Nasia R. Howard, Da'Myah R. Carter, A'Mauri D. Blackford, Nadya L. Abrams, Brantley G LaGoy. 

She was preceded in death by Roy E. Williamson, (father) Ethel G. Williamson, (mother), and Frank Williamson, (brother).

Her children remember her as an amazing mother and wonderful grandmother who truly cherished life!
