Campbell, Janet E.Janet Elaine Campbell, age 96, of Marshfield, died on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the House of the Dove. A memorial service for Janet will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, 207 S. Cherry Avenue, Marshfield. Reverend Gisele Berninghaus will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour before the time of service at the church. Janet was born on October 19, 1920 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to John and Esther (Olson) Onsrud. She attended and graduated from Oregon Area High School in 1938. On December 28, 1953, she married the love of her life Robert Campbell whom she met on a Greyhound bus which she had to hail down from the highway because her father ran out of gas going to Madison. She was a bookkeeper for various businesses most recently Norwood Health Center, retiring in 1982. Janet was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, The Priscilla Circle, past president and member of St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Charter member of Sons of Norway, Marshfield Chapter and many other organizations. Besides non-tour trips with her husband and family they traveled extensively through the eastern seaboard and Washington D.C., and made non-tour trips to England, Scotland, and Europe to visit her son James, often staying in private homes of friends.Survivors include her son, David J. Campbell, of Marshfield; one brother, John (Mary) Onsrud of Edgerton, WI; a sister Naomi Rockwell of Oregon, WI; and special friends, John and Debra Kolano & Family, who "adopted" Janet into their family and Greg Schieber.She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her son James Campbell, three sisters, Muriel Stoneman, Dorothy Schuster, and Eunice Hall and a brother, Otis Onsrud.The family would like to thank the staff at the House of the Dove for all of their care and support.Online condolences may be made at www.hansenschillingfuneralhome .com
