The Story

Janelle Brooks, the second of 4 children, although many considered her a sister. Janelle entered this world to the late Christine Baum and Billy Earl Brooks, On September 23rd,1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Janelle was Educated in the Philadelphia, public school system, where she graduated from Furness High school.

Janelle was known for the love she showed everyone, especially children. She lived her life telling you how she felt, when she felt it. Janelle love for her family and those she considered family her memory will forever live on. Cleaning and giving people a roof over their head, gave her Solace.
 As “Nell” gave duahs to progress and devoted her life to Allah. She spent every moment she can with her grandson Faheem. Janelle had lots of family much of whom wasn’t blood, but..blood isn’t what bonds family, it's love, and Nell had a lot of that to go around.

Quiet as a lamb, Nell departed this life peacefully in her sleep On Friday, May 17, 2019. Janelle was proceed in death by her parents Christian and Billy.

Janelle, leaves to Celebrate her life and legacy with cherished memories; Two Sons, Ziheem Frisby, Abdul Brooks; One brother, James long ; two sisters, Nettie Hall & Valerie Jones; One grandson Faheem Brooks; sister in law, Chareen long, brother in-law Eric Bailey, and a host of Nieces and Nephews; Shante, James, Quil, Lyshel, Chris, Khaseem, Naheem, Naja, and Nahiyah.
