James "Jim" William NixonJames "Jim" William Nixon went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017. A beloved husband, father, brother and friend to many, Jim was born on May 18, 1948 in Montclair, NJ to George Nixon and Jeanne Davis Nixon. He is survived by his wife Helen, their 3 sons David, Paul, and Peter, his brother David Nixon, sister Sandra James, many nieces and nephews, and his 2 Rottweiler's Nibbler and Rue.Married once, born twice, Jim gave his whole heart to his wife and his Lord. His heart was with the youth and in mission work. His career took him around the world and gave him unique opportunities to build friendships with people of all races, colors and creeds.He was a character, truly one of a kind. He will be remembered fondly and missed by many. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the youth and missions ministries of North Houston Baptist Church.A memorial service will be held at Christchurch Baptist Fellowship at 1 pm on Saturday July 15, 2017.
