James Taylor Thompson, 77, of Greensboro North Carolina, passed Tuesday, November 21, 2017. He was born to Marcus Oheir Taylor, and Delmore Taylor, September 01, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland.

James Taylor received a degree from Greensboro University in 1967. He married Joanne Jefferson Taylor in 1965, and they lived together in Greensboro. Soon after they moved to Baltimore, Md. James worked at the slaughter house in Baltimore, Maryland, until he retired in 1995. He also volunteered in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1956 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.

James Taylor is survived by 4 children: Desiree Taylor, Monty Monroe Taylor, Brenda Taylor, and Dontae Taylor. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren.
