James Stanley BaggettCummings, GAJames Stanley Baggett, 89, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Seasons Hospice Palliative Care in Cumming, GA.Stanley was born on August 20, 1927, in Clarksville, TN to the late Carney Wesley Baggett, Sr. and Ruby Bowler Baggett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Williams Baggett; brother, Carney Wesley Baggett, Jr.; and sister, Helen Shepard.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Chris Camp officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Stanley was a Retired Firefighter with Ft. Campbell Fire Department. After retirement, he worked security at the old Memorial Hospital. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Baggett was on the Urban Ministries Board in the 1980s. He was a previous member of First United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a member of Olivet Freewill Baptist Church, until he moved to Georgia.Stanley is survived by three sons, Henry W. Baggett (Lina) of Clarksville, TN, Christopher J. Baggett (Linda) of Anthem, AZ, and Jeffrey S. Baggett (Christy) of Cumming, GA; three sisters, Sue Page of Clarksville, TN, Ruth Wyatt of Clarksville, TN, and Betty O'Neal (Robert) of Smyrna, TN; and ten grandchildren.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olivet Freewill Baptist Church, 3363 Rossview Road, Clarksville, TN 37043.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
