We are sad to announce the passing of Rick York on January 21, 2026, at the age of 65 in Redding, California.

Rick was born on April 4, 1960, to James and Geri York, he has 2 sisters Cynthia Nolan, and Catherine Ferri, who were probably surprised to find out that their little troublemaker would grow up to be such a character.

He leaves behind his loving partner Margie York, who put up with his shenanigans for over 30 years. They have two children, Becky Cassada, Granchildren (Blake, Rylee, and Lilly). Michael Hoover, Grandchildren (Olivia, Michael and Jaxson) who somehow managed to survive their father's questionable sense of humor.

Rick spent his working days at Sierra Pacific Industries, where he was known for his knowledge and his willingness to help and impart that knowledge.

Although his passing brings sadness, we can't help but smile thinking about the memories he left behind. Rick was a man who lived life to the fullest, even if it meant getting into trouble along the way.

Rest in peace, Rick. We'll miss your laughter, your mischief, and your contagious sense of humor. We hope you're up there cracking jokes with the best of them.
