James R. Whited, 89MUNCIE - James R. Whited, 89, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his residence.He was born on June 16, 1927 in Jamestown, TN, the son of Jacob and Mary Jane (Adkins) Whited.James retired from GM after several years of service. He enjoyed trap shooting and was an avid fisherman.Survivors include his three children, Mary Robin Gragg, Ray Gragg, and Eric Neal; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barb E. Whited (Crump); and two brothers, Ward Whited and Otto Whited.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gloria (Gragg) Whited, five brothers, and four sisters.Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
