JAMES R. SCHMIDTNovember 7, 2016James R. Schmidt of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, November 7, 2016. He was 73 years old.James was born on March 21, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the proud son of Catherine (Swick) and Joseph G. Schmidt. He was an executive with Nabisco and had a variety of assignments across the county before finishing his career as the Director of Purchasing. After retirement he settled in Fort Myers and was an active member at the Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club. Jim found happiness in golfing, fishing, friends and family visits. He was married to and leaves behind his devoted wife Dolores (Yavorka) Schmidt.
