A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Whigham Funeral Home, 580 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark, N.J. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, N.J. Visitation is on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

A resident of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., for 20 years, Mr. Bryant was a former resident of Hillside for 46 years. He was a 1956 graduate of Hillside High School and a health professional at the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Bryant was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

James was the beloved son of Frances Green Bryant and the late James Jaspert; loving father of Susan Jeanette Bryant Jasper; dear grandfather of Keenan G. Jasper, and caring uncle of T. Lee Everett, Mattie Green Terry (Fred D.), and William S. Green (Murl). He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
