It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Hopson, beloved son of Roby and Patsy Hopson, who was born on October 7, 1966, in Roan Mountain, Tennessee, United States.

James passed away on February 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a true fighter until the very end.

After graduating from Cloudland High School in 1973, James started working at Linville Golf Course, where he dedicated many years of his life. He retired in 1982, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

James had many hobbies that brought him joy, including riding 4x4 vehicles, gardening, and listening to music. He was always happiest when he was outdoors, enjoying nature and the company of his friends and family.

Although James did not have children of his own, he was a loving and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews. He cherished his role in their lives and always made time to spend with them.

James will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering loyalty. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

He was Proceeded in Death By Father James Roby Hopson.
