James J. Thomas, Sr. died peacefully on Friday, May 26th 2017. He lived a full and courageous 80 years. He was born on November 22, 1936 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. In 1961, he married Janice Dowell and together they raised 5 children; Lona-Maria, James Jr., Elizabeth, Joseph and Katie. He served in the Navy for 30 years and retired in 1985 as a Senior Chief. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He loved his family and loved his country. He fought hard and bravely. He is loved and will be missed. A private family service was held at Charles E. Davis Funeral Home on Memorial Day, May 29th, 2017.
