James "Freeman" Peters, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated factory worker, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born on November 16, 1942 to Samuel and Lois Peters.

James married the love of his life, Barbara Wright, in 1975 and together they raised six children: Gabriel Peters - Wright, Michael Wright, Conrad Wright, Judith wright, Donna Wright, and Charles Wright. James was a loving grandfather to 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Throughout his life, James found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He worked tirelessly at Stellantis Engine Plant until his retirement in 2005.

James will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Private funeral service and cremation.
