James Edward Ratu, 63, of Richmond, Virginia, passed on March 28, 2022. James was born on July 25, 1958 in Greensboro, Nc at the Women's Hospital on Martin Luther King blvd. He was the second child of 6 born unto Pete and Della Ratu.

He went through a lot of things in his early years which began with the passing of his brother Anthony (Tank) Ratu. He married,all together, a total of 3 times in his life. His first marriage produced 3 girls: However, his last 2 produced no children and ended in divorces.

He retired in early 2021, from Adams Outdoor advertisemen where he spent a total of 18 years and became the head leader of the company leading up to his retirement.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys and never got the chance to make it to one of the games live as he spoke about with his grandson (Joeb Isaiah Ratu Underwood). He was a great man despite everything he endured in his life and he will be missed dearly. James leaves to cherish his memory 3 loving daughters, Tamika, Ramona, and Erika; mother, Della; many brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephew, many grandchildren; and many friend.
