James Johnson, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, was born on January 10, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. He passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 79, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

James was the son of Ed and Susan Johnson. He grew up in the Nashville area and attended Maplewood High School where he developed a passion for diesel mechanics. After completing his studies, James secured a job as a diesel mechanic at Kenworth, where he worked for over 40 years.

Outside of work, James enjoyed spending time with his family. In 1978, he married his beloved wife, Donna, and together they raised three children: Crystal ( Davenport), Jon (Johnson), and Jacob (Johnson).James was a devoted father and took great pride in his children's successes. He was also an adoring grandfather to his four grandchildren and cherished spending time with them.

James will be remembered for his kind heart and selflessness. He had a spirit of generosity and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a hard worker and did everything he could to provide for his family.

James is survived by his wife, Donna, his three children, Crystal, Jacob, and Jon, his two sisters, Carl, Paula, and his four grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his time on earth.
