James Almeida passed away on July 12, 2024, in Norcross, Georgia, at the age of 70. He was born on October 13, 1953, to Charles and Loretta Almeida.

James married Chong Almeida in 1977, and they had three children together, Charles Almeida, AnnMarie Almeida, and Noella Butler, who is married to Peyton Butler. James is also survived by his four grandchildren.

He graduated from Coyle Cassidy High School in 1973 and went on to serve in the United States Army, retiring in 1998 as a SFC. James was a dedicated soldier who served his country with honor.

Outside of his military service, James had a passion for fishing. He enjoyed spending time on the water, surrounded by nature.

James will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his country, and his love of the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James Almeida passed away from lung cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and service. May he rest in peace.

The Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lee's Funeral Home and Crematory located at 4067 Industrial Park Dr NW, Norcross, GA 30071.

Funeral services will be held at Korean Martyrs Catholic Church located at 6003 Buford Hwy NE, Doraville, GA 30340, on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:00am.
