James E. Reprogal, age 62, of Oscoda, died on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at Saginaw St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born on May 15, 1940 in Jackson to the late Leslie and Myrtle Reprogal (nee Lynn). James worked as a welder in general construction, as an excavator, as a tank builder and tester for Chrysler Defense Engineering and he owned the Mobile gas station in Oscoda in the 1970s. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, race cars and traveling and he was a skilled mechanic. James is survived by his wife, Beverly, whom he married on Sept. 15, 1973 in Tawas City. He is also survived by his son, Kevin (Amy) Ornatowski; five daughters, Jean (Stan) Donovan, Paula (Gary) Thibault, Tracy (Len) Ornatowski, Valerie Ornatowski and Karri Manitsas; sister, Barb Cummings, brother, Cliff (Jo) Reprogal; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Terresa Brooks; son, Scottie Reprogal; sister, Betty Lambert; and grandson, Jeremy J. Ornatowski. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. at Oscoda Assembly of God Church. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
