James Dale MurphyMooresville, NCJames Dale Murphy, 83, of Mooresville, NC, formerly of Naples, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.He was born on April 13, 1933 in Waterloo, IA, to the late John Dale and Elizabeth Marie Kuriger Murphy. He owned two restaurants in Waterloo, IA and later was an elementary teacher in Richfield, MN. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Naples before moving to North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ackerman Murphy; daughter, Michelle Wiger and husband, Brad; sister, Marilyn Bentrude and husband, Wes; and grandsons, Jackson Wiger and Joshua Wiger.No services will be held at this time.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedarville University Marie Murphy Scholarship Fund, 251 N.
