CWO2 ( Ret.US Army) James F. Connor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather departed this life on August 30, 2017 in El Paso, Texas. Jim was born on January 7, 1929 to John Francis Connor and Mary Agnes Bruner Connor in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of twenty years in the US Army, retiring in 1967, as well as retired from Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Rodney and Ed, and his sister Catherine. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie, his daughter Patricia Velo and husband Allen, his son Jim and wife Brenda, grandchildren Jennifer, Erin and husband Ryan, Ashley and husband Jason, Whitney and husband Josh, Danny and wife Olga, and great-grandchildren Brianne, Kaitlin, Parker, Travis, and Riley. Also surviving Jim are his brothers John and Pete, as well as many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services and Interment were held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas on September 11 (Patriot Day) at 10:15 a.m. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Vaughan's Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas.
