James Bill Russell, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Bangor, Maine. He was born on March 16, 1937, to Peter Russell and Rena Barnes Russell.

James is survived by his loving wife, Ann Michaud Russell, their two children, Steve Russell and his wife Kelly and Jay Russell and his partner Danielle McNally and two grandchildren. Kara Page and her husband Corey and Brandon Russell and his wife Hannah Russell. A brother Peter Russell and his wife Leslie.He was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family.

Bill attended Stearns High School and graduated in 1955. After completing high school, he enlisted in the Navy, where he served his country with honor and dedication.

Following his military service, Bill began a long and successful career at Great Northern Paper Company, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in 1992. He was well-respected by his colleagues and was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Outside of work, Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling in the beautiful Maine wilderness.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and his 2 sisters Jean and Beverly.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
