This obituary is administered by:

Bihn, James James Aloysius Bihn, 69, of Peoria, Arizona unexpectedly passed away at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Jim was born on May 27, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence J. and Olive (Busson) Bihn. He graduated from Lake High School in 1966 and served as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam, where he was awarded a Purple Heart. In 1972, while Jim was employed by the railroad, his legs were amputated in an accident. Doctors predicted he would not survive, let alone sit up again, but Jim left the hospital to live independently. He married Glenda "Jean" Bihn on June 22, 1975 and proudly served as the stay-at-home father to their two children. Other accomplishments included earning Associate Degrees from Owens Community College and Glendale Community College, as well as a pilot's license. Jean called Jim "the kindest man I ever met." Family and friends knew him as a loving, generous, humble man. Always eager to share his knowledge and experiences, Jim tutored young men as a volunteer through Adobe Mountain School and Ability360 (formerly ABIL). Jim is survived by his wife, his children, Julie and William (Angie), and grandchildren, Christopher and Coralie. Also surviving are brothers Gerald (Mary Ann), Raymond (Helen), Lawrence, and his twin brother Eugene (Amy) Bihn; sisters Norma (Richard) Cuprak, Rita Bates, Ann (Warren) Keeler, Carolyn (Ronald) Bosse, and Judith Bihn; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Bihn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Andrew, Milo (Mary Alice), and Robert Bihn.Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Chapel at 6830 W.
