James Allen Dickey1936-2017James A. Dickey (80) of Pensacola, FL passed away on Mon., Mar. 6, 2017. He was born on Dec. 2, 1936 in Baltimore, MD to the late AJ and Mary Guynn Dickey.Jim graduated from West Virginia University in 1956 with his Bachelor's degree. He was also a 33rd. degree Mason.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Dickey; and sister, Marion Bunnell Dickey.James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kay; children, Kirt (Laura) Dickey of Cincinnati, OH, Todd Dickey of Redondo Beach, CA and Walter (Teresa) Dickey of Annandale, VA; grandchildren, Melissa Ramirez, Katarina Dickey and Colleen Dickey; two great grandchildren; sister in law, Ann Dickey; sister in law, Georgene (Doug) Pollard; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family, many friends and his Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church family.Special thanks to Dr. Dany El-Sayah, nurses and staff at Sacred Heart Oncology departments; Covenant Care Hospice especially Dianne and Terry.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., March 10, 2017 at Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Riley Richardson officiating.
