James passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Trisha Sweeney and the devoted father to his six children: Bridget O'Connell, Danielle Sweeney, Amanda Sweeney, Denise Sweeney, Deborah Sweeney, and Jackson Sweeney & fifteen grandchildren. A man of tireless energy and community spirit, James dedicated himself to community development projects, leaving a positive mark on his neighborhood, owning a concrete business that he was extremely proud of. James found joy and freedom on the open road, a passion he expressed through his love of riding motorcycles. His commitment to family, his enthusiasm for his hobbies, and his enduring spirit of service will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at Lenwood Funeral Home located at, 5911 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19151, November 6th, 2025 at 1:00pm for all who would like to attend.
