James "Jimmy" Ferguson, 86, of Columbus, Ohio passed on March 25, 2022 peacefully at home with his wife Rose by his side. James "Jimmy" was born on November 22, 1935 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. James was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. James will be remembered for his love of country music, carpentry and watching wrestling. Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Letty, his sister Annie, brother Thomas, son Chris and daughter Anne. Survived by his loving wife Rose, children Teresa and Mitchell (Amanda), Grandchildren MacKenzie, Ashley (Dave), Megan, Caitlin, Andy, Brice, Bryan "Beau", Thomas, Brittany, Alexis, Sean, and Audrey (Steven), great grandson Kayden, great nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
James was well known for being a very giving and humble man that did not want to be fussed over or mourned. To respect his wishes in life and in death the family will be holding a small gathering on Monday, March 28 from 5 to 8 pm to remember his life and legacy. His ashes will be spread on family property near his birthplace of White Sulphur Springs at a later date. The family is asking all who wish to express sympathy for the passing of James to donate to the wounded warriors fund or a local church or charity in his honor as James was a supporter for veterans and very devoted to his beliefs.
