Mr. James H. Wilson aka "Charles" were born on August 18, 1948 to Ruth Wilson and the late John Wesley Lowery in South Carolina, then moved to Wilmington where he attended New Hanover County Schools, to later move to Virginia where he was a resident there for years before returning back to Wilmington.

James departed his life on August 27, 2023 at his home, his life will forever be cherished in the lives of his 3 children: Michelle (Marvin) Williams of Leland, NC; Eirrik and Anthony Mingo of Raleigh, NC; mother: Ruth W. Pridgen, 5 granddaughters: Takia Williams, KaNyah, E'moni, Mia, Megan Mingo, 4 grandsons: TaeKeem Williiams, Noah, DyMir, Eirrik Jr. Mingo; 10 great grandchildren; sister: Lana (Carl Sr.) Fennell; 2 nieces: Yolanda and Kiffany Fennell; 1 nephew: Carl Fennell Jr.; a host of devoted grand neices and nephew's, cousins, and friends.
