James Carter, age 90, of Norfolk City, Virginia, passed away on April 8, 2026. from colin cancer. He was born on August 25, 1935, to Earl and Mary Carter.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 76 years, Elise Carter, whom he married in 1950. Together, they raised two children: Debra Carter (spouse - Harry Nash) and Norman Carter. James was a loving grandfather to three cherished grandchildren. Curtis Nash,Fredrica Nash,sharon Carter.

James attended Norfolk High School and graduated in 1947. After high school, he proudly served in the Marines as a Private First Class. In his free time, James enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

James Carter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. We celebrate his life in this urn as we will never forget you pops.
